Employees and families need laborers who are whole, not wounded or causing wounds. During times of bountiful blessings and heavy burdens wellness, worship, and workplace laborers should assess their emotional wellness.
When trouble rises on the job (i.e. Moses) or at home (i.e. Queen Esther), emotions such as frustration and fear can take the lead. When these emotions take charge, laborers can show up as anything but caring because of times of intense conflict in our relationships. We can become wounded in what feels like wilderness moments. On the other hand, when all feels well, laborers can become self-absorbed and cause relationship conflicts by not showing up as caring to those who require their care and compassion. We can wound those in which we were called to show care.
Either scenario can damage your connection with God, yourself, your children, close connections, community, co-workers, clients, and customers.
